We have an outstanding reputation, which can be seen from what our past customers have said in our testimonials section.
Beams that have a depth of 4” or less, will come fitted with a keyhole bracket (with this fixing method we do not supply screws or raw plugs). Please note any 8” x 6” beam will not be supplied with concealed shelf supports.
Unless otherwise stated when placing an order, we will position the fixings and fixing hole on the largest side. The fittings that we supply work best on bricks, stone and breeze block walls. Our classic oak fireplace beam can also be fitted to stud walls, if timber uprights can be located. We have a handy blog that provides a full set of instructions for how to install a floating shelf, the same method can then also be applied to our oak beams. All orders we dispatch come with a full set of instructions.
If you’re planning to attach your beam to a plasterboard wall, we would recommend purchasing a 6” x 3” beam or less in conjunction with specialist plasterboard fixings.

Important: Please be aware as oak is a natural product, each piece does vary with regards to: cracks, knots, colour and grain pattern. Due to machining and sanding beams are typically up to 1/2″ smaller than the size stated. Some beams may have small areas of pin holing which further adds to the reclaimed effect, we will treat these beams with anti infestation solution. All of our oak beams are well air dried ensuring minimal movement once installed in your home. As your beam adjusts to your room temperature further cracks may appear only adding to the character. This is nothing to worry about. Please note that none of the above can be treated as defects. If for some reason you’d like to return your item just post it back to us within 14 days of delivery to receive a refund in full.
