Our collective home is currently being turned upside down and it’s not going to save itself. Reducing our carbon footprint and restoring nature is necessary. One of the best tools to tackle the climate crisis and keep our temperatures from rising above 1.5C is to plant trees.

In order for us to be sustainable our suppliers must be too. Our timber is sourced from reliable and reputable sawmills who are FSC or PEFC certified to ensure the timber comes from sustainably managed forrests and give you the confidence that the product you are buying is sustainable too.

PEFC stands for ‘Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification’.
An international, non-profit, non-governmental organization which promotes sustainable forest management through independent third-party certification.
WHAT IS FSC?
FSC stand for “Forest Stewardship Council.”
The worlds most trusted sustainable forest management solution. A non-profit, non-governmental organisation who promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests.
We’re proud to say that we’ve finally reached our goal of 0% wood waste throughout our entire manufacturing process. We have achieved this goal through substantial investment but also careful planning over a number of years. Making sure we use every part of the timber we source is very important to us, we would hate to see such a precious material go to waste.
Offcuts produced during our entire manufacturing process are used to fuel our biomass system which provides hot water and heat for our office, workshop and showroom. One of our largest investments to date but a fantastic contribution to our mission to operate in the most environmentally friendly way possible.
The shavings our machining processes create is compressed into high density briquettes directly from our dust extraction unit. We sell this fantastic fuel which is used on wood-burning stoves, fire pits or barbecues.
We are forever striving for more ways to make our company more environmentally friendly and will continue to develop our practises and evolve as an environmentally aware company.
We use cardboard to package most of our products. Any waste cardboard gets shredded for void fill. Where plastic packaging is necessary, we use foam rolls made from fully recyclable polyethylene which is CFC free.
